About Us
Since 1996 Rhythm Explosion has brought together an international group of choreographers, musicians, performers, educators and students, in a cooperative community to study, perform and create new work. This supportive atmosphere, aimed at fostering a creative exchange of ideas, focuses on the art of dancing to jazz music and related forms.
In 2010 we will provide this opportunity in the form of two intimate, intensive retreats – in the mountains. We will have a more balanced focus on both music and dance, bringing together students and faculty of both disciplines. Each of the retreats will have a unique focus and feature a different faculty of two dancers and two or three musicians.
The number of students for each retreat will be limited to approx. 15. Given this small number, we are asking students to make application to be accepted. The minimum age of students is 18 and all applicants must be of an Intermediate level or higher.
